Africa & the Middle East offer
experiences in antiquity.

Ancient Africa dates as far back as 3300 BC. Literacy arose in Egypt which eventually spread throughout the entire continent of Africa and the Middle East. Both regions have a wealth of ancient history and are called the “near east” with countries
closest to the Mediterranean.

Today you can track gorillas in Rwanda, safari in Tanzania, explore rainforests in the Congo or relax on pristine beaches in Zanzibar. Explore historical places such as the cave hewn churches in Ethiopia and Egyptian pyramids. Turkey is perhaps the most visited destination in the Middle East and a trip to Istanbul’s Blue Mosque and the cave homes in Capadoccia are a trip back in time. Both Africa and the Middle East are not to be missed!
