Django Reinhardt was a pioneering jazz guitarist and composer who invented an entirely new style of jazz guitar technique called ‘hot’ jazz guitar that has since become traditional music within the Belgian gypsy culture. The Festival de Jazz Django Reinhardt is a yearly event and is seen amongst the Gypsy Jazz community as being the definitive Django festival with people traveling from all over the world to attend. Django “pilgrims” also take time out to pay respect at Reinhardt’s grave in Samois. This festival is a great family celebration of Django and his music. Django Reinhardt Jazz Festival is an adventure which you enjoy the arts in Paris, see Fontainebleau from a hot air balloon and hear interesting jazz in the Django tradition!

Day 1 – Paris
Enjoy a private airport transfer from Paris airport (Charles-De-Gaulle or Orly) to your hotel in Paris, private vehicle with a professional English speaking driver.

You will receive a welcome package with your vouchers, and itinerary, city map(s) and train tickets (where relevant) upon your hotel arrival.

Lastly, discover the Montmartre area of Paris – a neighborhood of steps and narrow cobblestoned streets which evokes images depicted by Toulouse Lautrec.

Day 2 – Paris
Discover Paris in a truly original and personalized manner aboard your very own 2CV. Enjoy the many wonders of Paris. Consider taking a stroll down one of the many quays by the river Seine, or wandering around any of the fascinating neighborhoods such as Montematre, the Marais or the Left bank. Of course there are a plethora of museums and galleries to choose from if you are so inclined. Consider getting a 2 Day Paris Pass that includes a Paris Transport Travel card for 2 days (zone 1-3) to see all of the sites that are of personal interest to you. Paris takes on a different hue at night and, with many of the magnificent buildings aglow which make it is possibly the best time to admire the beauty of the city. There are plenty of options to choose from for evening entertainment including an early evening wine tasting in a beautiful, airy Parisian loft of a French sommelier located close to the lively Marais district, a dinner cruise, a cabaret show, dinner in the Eiffel tower followed by a night-time cruise, or an evening tour of the city with many of the historical buildings aglow.

Day 3 – Fontainebleau
You will be picked-up at your hotel in Paris, early this morning. Enjoy a private transfer to the town of Fontainebleau with a comfortable vehicle and an English speaking driver.

You will cross the Fontainebleau forest before arriving at the Royal city located in the south of Paris. Marvel at Fontainebleau Palace and its rich history.

Early in the morning you will enjoy a hot air ballon ride in Fontainebleau. About 10 people per flight. Enjoy the panoramic view and take stunning pictures of this beautiful town. Enjoy time at leisure to explore at your own pace, or relax at your hotel.
