Journey to the mystical country of Nepal and embark on a sojourn of this enchanted country. After exploring Kathmandu Valley, fly to Lukla to begin your spa trekking trip. Spend the mornings trekking with an experienced team of local guides and Sherpas, and stay each night at a Yeti Mountain Home lodge. This spa trek program is especially designed for travelers who are not used to trekking and wish to get the view of mountains along with Mt. Everest without going to higher altitudes. You can truly experience the Sherpa community in a short amount of time. Discover Namche Bazar, the oldest trade center in the entire Khumbu Valley, visit Kumjung, Pakding and Thame. Massages are included as well as a visit to the Himalayan Healers organization in Kathmandu. Spa Trek Yeti Trail is that once in a lifetime dream trip into the highest mountains in the world.

Day 1 – Arrive Kathmandu (1300m/4265ft)
On arrival in Kathmandu, after you have passed through Customs and Immigration, you will be met by our airport representative at the airport with logo of out Yeti Mountain Home or if you’re from any local agent in your country, with your travel agent’s name etc. And will be welcomed you with garlands of flower and taken on a short drive to the Gokarna Forest Resort, which is your comfortable base for your first night. Then you’ll be served with welcome drink and will start briefing about your programs, will collect necessary documents for permit for the trekking.

Gokarna Forest Resort is located inside the serene temperate Gokarna Forest, the former private Royal hunting grounds of the Kings of Nepal. A winding road climbs leads through the forest up to the main complex, comprising a mix of subtly majestic Malla period architecture, Rana period lodges, and sanctuaries harmoniously blending with nature.

Further on exotic Forest View cottage rooms are set beside a century old restored Hunter’s lodge. A quiet peaceful haven set between ancient towering trees with glimpses of the second fairway in the valley below make the perfect getaway for a few days of golf, relaxation and rejuvenation at the Spa, enchanting forest walks, and time close to nature.
Dinner is included at the hotel this evening.

Day 2 – Kathmandu
Full Day Kathmandu Sightseeing
This day is a fully sightseeing day and souvenir shopping day. You will visit around the local markets, most popular sights of Nepal like Bhoudhanath, Bhaktapur & Pasupatinath.

Pashupatinath (crematory temple): Hindus holiest temple situated at the bank of Bagmanti River, 5 km away from the downtown of Kathmandu. Thousands of devotees converge here on an annual pilgrimage on the occasion of Maha Shivratri, the night of Lord Shiva falls in the month February. Entrance into the temple precincts is permitted only for the Hindus but other can clearly see the temple and rituals beings performed inside from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river. The temple was listed in the UNESCO world Heritage Monument list in 1797.

Boudhhanath Stupa: Holiest Buddhist stupa of Nepal located at 6 km away from downtown Kathmandu. It was built in fifth century by Lichhavi king Karna Dev. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating specimens of Stupa design. A huge statue of Lord Buddha is kept. Boudhanath a World Heritage Site is also known as Khasti. There are more than 45 Buddhist monasteries in the area.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square: This complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples were built in the 12th to 18th centuries used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu situated at 12 km from Kathmandu in Baktapur district. An intriguing piece here is the 17th century stone inscription set in to the wall of the palace with writing in 15 languages. Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city.

There are three museums inside the palace building. Highlights: Machchhendranath Temple, Akash Bhairav Temple, Temple of Kumari (Kumari Ghar), Kasthamandap, Jaishi Dewal. Lunch during the tour and dinner at the evening is included.

Day 3 – Flight: Kathmandu-Lukla (2850m/9317ft) and trek to Phakding (2610m/8562ft))
35 minutes flight by Twin otter or Dornier aircrafts, 3 hour walking
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport before 1.5 hours of your flight time for the flight about 35 minutes to Lukla by Tara Air. This flight follows the Langtang and Jugal ranges before entering the Eastern region where you pass Rolwaling Himal. Gaurisankar and Menlumtse before entering the Khumbu area. After your arrival at Lukla Airport, is also called Tenzin- Hillary Airport located at 2840m.

Once you arrive at Lukla airport you’ll be introduced with your crew Guides, sherpa and porters. Then from airport, we walk for 5 minutes to the Yeti Mountain Home and have a cup of tea. Then we start trek to Phakding walking off three hours. This starts with a gentle downhill walk with beautiful scenery of the Sherpa homes. There will be plenty of hot lemon tea stops and a chance to meet the locals and take plenty of photographs. On the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River, with distant views of the peaks of Nupla (5,885 metres) and Kusumkang (6,367 metres).

Following the left bank of the river you reach Phakding, where you stop for lunch and for the evening. Phakding is located at 2640 meter high from sea level. Dinner is included at the lodge this evening.

Day 4 – Phakding to Namche (3,440m/11,286ft)
Approximately 10 km, 5-6 hours
After breakfast at lodge, we trek to Namche following with the left bank of Dudh Koshi River while following the level path along the right bank from the resort, Thamserku 6623 m. Looms skyward on the opposite bank.

After crossing a stream and climbing the terraced hill from the Dudh Koshi route, you arrive at Banker. Walking on the riverbed on the left bank, through a forest you arrive at Chumow where you can visit the Vegetable Farm. Walking along a path with many ups and downs, crossing a stream you pass by a small village located at 2840m gaining with 230m from Phakding. Then from Monjo, descending stone steps you come to a suspension bridge, and, after a short climb you reach Jorshale. This is the entrance to the National Park, and you must wait here while your guide pays the entrance fees.

Walking beside the river, you reach a forested mountainside and pass a rocky area. After crossing a high, winding path, you descend to the riverbed and reach a V-shaped valley. The river forks here: the right stream is the Dudh Koshi, and the left is the Bhote Koshi that leads to Nangpa La. Crossing another suspension bridge and walking a short distance alongside the Bhote Koshi, you ascend to Tup Dhara where you will get the first view of Mount Everest and hot lemon tea with biscuits – From here you ascend gradually up to Namche Bazaar(The Sherpa capital). Dinner at the evening is included.

Day 5 – Namche day excursion (2 hours walking)
After breakfast we trek up to Syangboche airport about 1 hr. Passing through a small forest, we reach Khumjung Hillary High School. The village of Khumjung covers the largest area in Khumbu.

After lunch at Khumjung, we visit Khunde hospital. The hospital & school were built by the late Sir Edmund Hillary. From this area, there are spectacular Views of Majestic Mountains like Tham serku, Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Lhotse and of course Everest. Beside that we can see Kongde Ri also. We then return back to Namche. Dinner at lodge is included.

Day 6 – Namche to Thame (3440m/11286ft)
Approximately 10 kilometres: 5 hours walking
After breakfast at Namche, begin your walk to Thame, which should take approximately two-and a-half hours for lunch .You will pass through a beautiful pine forest and typically Sherpa homes.

This trail forms part of the entry route to Tibet, which passes near the 8,012-metre peak of Cho Oyu, first climbed in 1954. It is also the historical route where the Sherpas migrated from eastern Tibet 800 years ago.

A lunch stop is made at Thamo. It is also the home of Ang Rita Sherpa, who holds the record for scaling Mt Everest ten times without oxygen. After lunch you ascend gradually up passing a monastery where nuns live and finally you come to village of Samden. From here you descend down to the bridge and crossing Bhote Koshi River, a half an hour ascent up to reach Thame Village, where you stay at the Thame Yeti Mountain Home, your base for the next two nights. Dinner is included at the YMH this evening.

Day 7 – Thame day excursion
Approximately 4 hours walking
After breakfast at lodge, take a half-hour walk up to Thame Monastery. This monastery is located in the Khumbu region, 200 metres above the village. It is set on the southern slope of Sumdur Mountain under a very high rocky cliff, noted for its rock formations, which are mentioned in five books on the history of the region. The monastery was built in the 14th century. From the monastery you trek back to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch.

After lunch you can also visit the home of two famous Sherpa’s One Tenzing Norgay and Appa Sherpa who has now climbed Mount Everest 20 times. Thame is one of greatest village of Solu Khumbu where many young high altitude climbing Sherpa’s have climbed Mount Everest at least 6 to 18 times. Very beautiful village with very humble Everest summiteers.
Lunch and dinner are included at the lodge today.

Day 8 – Thame to Kongde (4250m/13943ft)
Approximately 13 kilometres: 7:30 hours walking with tea and photo stops
After breakfast you walk about 6 hrs through beautiful rhododendron, pine and bamboo forest. This route is the original Khumbu Sherpa use before 1950, and we renovated this route with the view of Khumbu mountain views. From Thame downhill 30 minutes to Khumbu Electric Power House, other side of Bhote Koshi River. After 15 minutes walk, you come across a typical small Sherpa village “PARE”. Walking through pine and bamboo forest, you will arrive in the glacier of Kongde Mountain with the fantastic view of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. You can enjoy.

Day 9 – Kongde Excursion Day
After breakfast walk about 3 hrs to approximately 500m to Farak Ri with a panoramic birds-eye views of entire Khumbu Valley and view of 8000m peaks; Everest, Lhotse Makalu, Cho Oyu, Ama Dalam, Thamserku and many other Peaks of Khumbu Valley such as Cholatse, Island Peak, etc.

Get back to the resort for lunch & dinner, and you can enjoy the spellbinding panoramic view of Tengboche monastery, Namche and Khumjung village one might have ever seen from any parts of the world, and the entire Solukhumbu Ranges from this part. Dinner at the hotel is included.

Day 10 – Trek Kongde-Phakding (2610m/ 8562ft)
Approximately 9 km, 4-5 hours walking
After breakfast at Kongde, we trek down to Phakding following the view of Phakding valley and excellent view of Mt. Thamserku (6623m) and range of Kangtega. We slightly descend through the jungle to Toktok village. And finally to Phakding. Dinner at YMH is included.

Day 11 – Trek Phak ding –Lukla (2850m/9317ft) 3 hrs
After breakfast 3 hrs walk to Lukla, on the way, visit Chaurikharka High School, Kyongma Monastery and en route Villages. Then check-in at lodge, lunch and free time or rest. Dinner at YMH is included.

Day 12 – Fly: Lukla KTM (35 min flight)
After breakfast in Lukla, as per our flight time to Lukla, we check in Lukla (Tenzing -Hillary) airport before 1.5 hrs of departure time. Then catch the flight to Kathmandu. After around 35 min flight by Tara Air, you’ll land in Kathmandu airport, and there will be a Yeti Mountain Home representative at the airport and will transfer to hotel free time in Gokarna Forest Resort. Dinner is included.

Day 13 – Kathmandu
Free Day
Today is fully free for relaxation, for shopping as your souvenir etc. Dinner at hotel is included.

Day 14 – Depart Kathmandu
Upon your international flight time, we’ll transfer you to the international airport before 3 hrs before your flight departure with the farewell Khada.
