Jazzmandu 2011 Performers Announced!
JAZZ FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

A unique opportunity for young musicians to perform at Jazzmandu and make it their launch pad to be recognized as future jazz artists of Nepal. A free concert for music students, jazz enthusiasts and school students to experience jazz by local young artists followed by performances from Jazzmandu visiting international artists.
One outstanding band will be selected to perform at Jazz Bazaar (Big Opening concert of Jazzmandu 2011) along with top Jazz artists from around the world.
VALLEY JAMS
Date: 21st October, Friday
Time: 7:30 to 9:30pm
The valley will resound with the sounds of jazz! Different venues in Kathmandu will feature performances by various Jazzmandu artists.
GOKARNA JAZZ BAZAAR
Date: 22nd October, Saturday
Time: 2:30pm to 10:00 pm
A marathon of jazz, traditional Nepalese folk and classical music performances by international and Nepali musicians. Jazzmandu T-shirts and souvenirs will be on sale.
JAZZMANDU MASTER CLASS
Date: 24th October, Monday
Time: 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Free entry (limited seating)
The master class is for music students & jazz enthusiasts to interact with musicians, share their experience and learn different instrumental tips and techniques.
JAZZ AT PATAN
Date: 24th October, Monday
Time: 6:00pm to 8:30pm
A unique evening of Nepali classical music fused with Jazz at a historic venue filled with a rich and soulful atmosphere. International musicians bring out their musical ideas and backgrounds with Nepal’s top-notch
Classical musicians and premiere jazz band, Cadenza.
JAZZMANDU ALL STAR

Time: 6:30pm to 10:00pm
The festival finale – The All Star BIG JAM!! Musicians’ from different bands play their sets and later jam together, creating high-energy music and groovy sounds to dance the night away.
