Roger has been travelling the world for the past 25 years and photographing it for 15. But he is not your typical professional photographer. He founded and ran a successful software company for 27 years while honing his photography skills as a serious amateur. When he sold his company in 2008, he started leading photo tours around the world to share his love for travel photography. Southeast Asia became one of his favorite destinations and in 2013 he moved to Thailand where he could spend more time capturing images of the region’s unique cultures.
His focus is creating ‘inspiring’ photography that makes people want to travel and experience different places and cultures for themselves. He loves to include local people in his photographs, especially if he can catch the emotion of the moment. His photography workshops teach topics such as composition, background, light, shadows and reflections as they relate to travel photography. His photography tours take people to right places at the right time of day to capture great images. Since the skills of his clients range from amateur to professional, his groups are small so he can provide as much or as little individual photography assistance as each person needs.
