Day 1 – Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi where you will be met by a representative and driven to your hotel.
Day 2 – Hanoi
With ochre-coloured colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards and scenic lakes, Hanoi is full of charm. Begin today’s tour at the lotus shaped One Pillar Pagoda resting on a single stone pillar emerging from the waterfollowed by a visit to the Temple of Literature, the first University for the sons of mandarins, for an overview about Hanoian culture and ancient Vietnamese architecture. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology. Stroll central Hanoi for a walking tour through the Old Quarter to enjoy the bustling local life. End your day with a show at the water puppet theatre, a unique Northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes of rural life and episodes of national history.
Day 3 – Hanoi/Halong Bay
Drive to Halong Bay where you board your deluxe junk where a welcome drinks awaits. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the magical bay where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waters like dragons’ teeth. Take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay, swim on a quite beach or sunbathe on the deck. Later in the afternoon, visit a fishing village living in the bay for generations by rowing sampan. Back on board for sunset and dinner.
Day 4 – Halong Bay/Bangkok
Catch the dramatic sunrise on the bay before departing to the splendid Sung Sot Grotto where stalactites hanging from the high ceiling take on numerous shapes and forms. Enjoy late buffet brunch on board while cruising back to the boat docking station. Arrive at the boat docking station around 11:00AM. Return to Hanoi stopping en route at a pottery village. You will be driven to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. Upon arrival, you will be meet and transfer to your hotel for check in.
Day 5 – Bangkok
After breakfast, take drive to Wat Po in time to experience the monks’ morning chanting ritual starting at 9AM. One of the oldest temples in Bangkok, Wat Po is home to the famous 45m reclining Buddha; it is also the original school of traditional Thai massage. tuk-tuk ride via Pak Klong Taland Flower Market towards The Grand Palace. The mysterious Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand, is housed here. Continue with a walk to the pier for a long-tail boat ride along the klongs. Enjoy a cup of Chinese tea in Chinatown at a very old teashop before exploring the bustling Talad Kao market.
Day 6 – Bangkok/Krabi
You will be driven to the airport for your flight to Krabi.
