SAUSALITO TRAVEL EXPERT LEADS CITY TOURS
SAUSALITO—Teri Goldstein of Sausalito, CA has announced the launch of Walking Tours in Sausalito: A Walk On The Other Side Of Town. In this one hour tour through Sausalito’s old town, Goldstein shares stories about the founding of Sausalito and its checkered past of bootleggers and brothels. The idea behind this walking tour is to encourage visitors to learn more about the city and to promote local businesses.

Teri Goldstein is a worldwide travel expert, experienced guide and travel writer who visited Sausalito for the first time in 1972 and vowed that one day she would call Sausalito “home”. After working as a travel writer for a subsidiary of the New York Times beginning tourist publications in Nepal, India and Sri Lanka and visiting more than 70 countries, Teri returned to San Francisco and began a career in travel consulting. She moved to Sausalito 7 years ago and has enjoyed learning every detail about this “beautiful lady by the sea”.

Teri leads tours abroad focusing on specialty themes such as antiquarian book fairs in India, jazz festivals in Nepal, France and the USA, and history tours that retrace the steps or events as in her Gandhi’s India. Teri enjoys sharing the history of where she lives with visitors and has given local historical walking tours before in Port Townsend, Washington when she resided there in the 1980’s.

Travel has been a way of life for Teri. Today she operates Travels with Teri, a full-service company that arranges worldwide custom travel and small group tours. Travels with Teri supports responsible travel and local nonprofits whose projects range from stopping human trafficking to elephant conservation. Travels with Teri hopes to help travelers connect more with their world by learning about where they visit through local interactions.
